Lighting Design of COFCO South Bridge Peninsula Cultural and Sports Center and Medical Service Station

The COFCO Nanqiao Peninsula Cultural and Sports Center and Medical Service Station in Fengxian District, Shanghai aims to become a "social cohesive", connecting the Punan Canal along the river to form a public place and park for the exchange and gathering of the surrounding new residential communities. Despite its proximity to dense residential towers, the building's spatial dynamism and openness attracts the neighborhood community to relax and engage in cultural activities, while the medical station serves the health needs of the community.

The building blends naturally with the surrounding landscape, creating a floating feeling of building "clouds" through lighting. Shows a unique picture, while providing a good night scene atmosphere.

Through the combination of architecture and lighting, the designer shows a different style and adds to the sculptural sense of the building. Lighting creates a casual, comfortable and intimate space atmosphere through warm lighting. At the same time, different architectural lighting effects can be achieved by using the strength of the light. The lighting of the cloud-like openings of the building conveys an open and inviting gesture to the public.

Geometric buildings and flat lighting present different landscapes, intensive lighting, flood lighting, paving lighting, background lighting, etc. are all used in this building, all of which can be achieved through a simple DALI lighting control system. It is easy to realize, use vtecklite's VT-F601 in the intensive lighting area, and then use VT-F611 in the auxiliary lighting part. Under the control of the DALI control system, the lighting of different scenes can be called up according to the change of time. 16 groups. It can be executed according to the preset program at different times.

In terms of lighting design, the designer combined the architectural concept and adopted appropriate lighting expression techniques for the incision in the shape of the "cloud" of the building. Using light cutting, the building was cut into pieces of cheese, which became a unique scene under the blessing of lighting, which is intriguing.

The overall lighting caters to the design language of the building, strengthens the sculptural sense of the building, and perfectly hides the lamps, making the entire building space as smooth and natural as water, realizing the effect of seeing the light but not the lights and the curvaceous beauty of the streamlined building, visual Simpler and cleaner. The lighting design of the stairs in the atrium uses linear light to wash and brighten the stairs to enhance the sense of space hierarchy.

Light roams in the architectural space. The designer uses smooth lighting to outline the geometric lines of the building, making the building more voluminous. When the lights come on at night, the original angular architectural lines soften, like an ark loaded with urban ideals, exuding a stable and peaceful atmosphere.
