Beijing CITIC Tower 528 meters
Beijing CITIC Tower, also known as China Zun, is a supertall skyscraper located in the heart of Beijing's new 30-hectare central business district, the tallest building in the Chinese capital and a new icon. The 108-storey building is 528 meters high, which is 198 meters higher than the previous China World Trade Center Phase III A (330 meters), the tallest building in Beijing.
The CITIC Tower, which was fully capped in 2018, is not only the tallest building in Beijing, but also the world's first skyscraper with a height of 500 meters or more built in an area with a seismic fortification intensity of 8 degrees.
The design of the CITIC Tower in Beijing was inspired by the form of "zun", a traditional Chinese ceremonial relic. The designer takes "China Zun" as the meaning: the building is soaring and straight into the clouds, showing the trend of standing in the sky, which coincides with the expression of "Zun", and is also different from the common linear form of Beijing's super high-rise buildings.
Its width shifts vertically from its 78-meter-wide base to its 54-meter-wide "waist" to its 69-meter-wide top, showing the architectural beauty of Beijing's new landmark in a graceful figure.
However, the meaning of China Zun is not only reflected in the architectural form, but the building itself also has the connotation of "Zun". In the core area of Beijing's CBD, which is a world-class city, the city's highest landmark building takes the meaning of "Zun", which means that this building is dedicated to "the gift of China" as a "respect of the times".
The tower draws inspiration from the physical characteristics of the traditional Chinese ritual vessel "zun". The lighting is cleverly combined with the construction of the curtain wall to hide the lamps, so as to realize the inheritance and expression of the deep meaning of the sky and the round place in the traditional culture of the building at night.
Vteck provides the DMX512 lighting control system for the entire building, and jointly designs the lighting customized for the shape of the building. Dynamic picture playback can be achieved through Vteck's DMX512 exterior wall lighting.
The top of the building uses LED linear wall washers embedded in the curtain wall fins to illuminate the facade curtain wall of the observation tower. Combined with the internal projection light formed by the indoor stone color backlight, the lighthouse effect of transparent lighting is realized. Viewed from a distance at night, the illuminated roof is suspended in the sky above the capital Beijing like a Kongming lantern.
In addition, the building lighting adopts LED polarized wall washer with extremely narrow light distribution, which is installed in the small metal fins of the curtain wall to project decorative large fins. Install projection lamps to realize the nighttime image of the super-high tower rising from the ground to an infinite extension.
